In modern world the social and economic development of the city depends on many factors. A positive image and investment climate of the city are the main ones.
That’s why the development of the City Marketing Strategy is one of top-priorities activities of the City Development Institution.

Kryvyi Rih Marketing Strategy (Branding) consists of two basic elements: 

- Comfortable life environment;
- Favourable conditions for attracting investments and business activities.

Under the Kryvyi Rih Marketing Strategy it is planned to develop the long-term program (Project) of  positive positioning of our city at all levels of national and international co-operation, creation of channels for structural communication of investors and economic entities, taking measures for lobbying the city interests.


 

Marketing Strategy Project of the City

The economy of Kryvyi Rih city has a monotype structure as larger part of city enterprises are working to meet the demands of mining and metallurgical industries. As a result there are following problems in the city:

- a low level of diversification of economy and development of industries unrelated to the mining and metallurgy complex;

- dependence of basic budget forming industry on the foreign market situation;

- insufficient development of financial markets and as a result there is a low level of the investment instruments usage;

- a low level of implementation of innovative technologies.

Support of sustainable development of Kryvyi Rih City demands creating of favourable conditions for attracting domestic and foreign investments. Marketing strategy of Kryvyi Rih and instruments of its implementation Project is designed to solve these problems by forming of city positive investment image and usage of the municipal marketing instruments.

Project goal: development and implementation of effective instruments to form the city positive investment image, provide attracting domestic and foreign investments into the economy to create a wide range of high-production enterprises having a possibility to employ the inhabitants of Kryvyi Rih city as well as to increase the economic activity of women that will promote the sustainable city development.

Project tasks:

- development of marketing strategy of city;

- forming of the city brand and providing its promotion that will considerably improve the city image and will increase the level of investment attractiveness;

- development of investment passport and its special variants that will increase promoting possibilities of the city.

Expected results:

- marketing strategy of the city is developed;

- creation of attractive investment climate of city;

- forming of investment products: an investment passport of the city, a map of investment possibilities;

- forming of the city brand for its promotion at national and international levels; 

- creation of equal possibilities for domestic and foreign investors;

- attracting of domestic and foreign investments into the economy of the city.
