On September 9, the first results of the application of Kryvyi Rih in the sixth competition were summed up at the meeting of the council for the competition of local development projects "Public Budget-2021".
The mayor of the city Yurii Vilkul said, “On September 4, the submission of proposals ended. 132 applications have been registered in the electronic system for participation in the Public Budget-2021. They amount to over UAH 81.2 million. This is the largest total amount of projects submitted to the competition for all the years of its holding. This activity of residents confirms the correctness of the decision to increase the competition fund to 30 million UAH. Also, we reduce the mandatory co-financing for authors of municipal and educational projects from 5% to 2%. For youth and social projects, there is no co-financing at all.”

The city is preparing for winter. By the beginning of the heating season, 71 boilers, 30 central heating stations and pumping stations, and 340 km of heating networks have been prepared by the communal enterprise “Kryvorizhteplomerezha”. Hydraulic tests were carried out at 75 boiler houses.
With the support of the city, "Teplomerezha" will implement several of projects to modernize boilers in 2020. The replacement of pumping units and the introduction of an automated heating system is among the largest, and it uses frequency converters at the boiler house on Martin Szymanowski, 5. The working meeting on the implementation of works was held by the mayor Yurii Vilkul.

On September 1, the bowl of the 50-meter pool began to be filled with water. An important sports facility for the citizens in the new school year will hospitably open its doors to the residents of Kryvyi Rih.
“In fact, we have built a new pool with a modern bowl, gyms, updated communications, equipment, water treatment system. Also, we installed a completely new water heating system, which will allow the pool to work all year round and be independent from the heating season. The pool will be open to both professional swimmers and those who just love to swim. There are 9 municipal pools in Kryvyi Rih and we are putting everything in order. The pools of Sports School for Children and Youth №10, 7, 6, 2 have already been repaired,” Yurii Vilkul emphasized.

Kryvyi Rih received another batch of trolleybuses, which the city purchased in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. On August 28, four trolleybuses went on the route №21 «Station Kryvyi Rih – Main Railway Station Kryvyi Rih-Holovnyi (via Gorky Square, Serafimovych Street).
Convenient, economical and environmentally friendly municipal electric transport is a priority for industrial Kryvyi Rih. Over the past five years, as part of Mayor Yurii Vilkul's transport development program, half of the public passenger transport fleet has been renewed. The city's project with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is an important component of this large-scale integrated work, and Kryvyi Rih received 54 modern new trolleybuses operating on the longest routes covering the central, northern and southern parts of the city.

A new pedestrian bridge is under construction in Kryvyi Rih for the convenience of residents and guests of the city in the Central City District (from Svyato-Mykolayivska Street to Yuri Gagarin Park). Mayor Yurii Vilkul held a working meeting at the site.

The municipal project “Kryvyi Rih Card” on behalf of the mayor Yuri Vilkul has been operating for the second year. Schoolchildren and residents of privileged categories were among the first users. They received the cards free of charge from the city budget.
The Center for Electronic Payments (CEP) has started issuing multifunctional electronic cards for Kryvyi Rih residents who do not have privileges but want to use such a service.
