Filming of the documentary series about the life of the first Honorary Citizen of Katerynoslav Oleksandr Pol has started in Dnipro. The first day of filming took place on Monastyrsky Island.
The seven-part documentary will reveal all aspects of the life of Oleksandr Pol, an entrepreneur, philanthropist and geographer. As a child, Oleksandr was brought up to respect Ukrainian traditions, his native land. He graduated from university, received a degree in diplomacy, but returned home to organize his own agricultural business. Working in the zemstvo, he was engaged in peasant reform, which led to the abolition of serfdom. Pol's passion for finding artefacts of the past led to the discovery of iron ore.

“Kryvyi Rih City Development Institution”, together with teachers and students of the Mykhailo Tuhan-Baranovsky Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade, conducted a training in the OpenSpace format “Cognitive Design” on 28 September.
The main purpose of the training is to involve young people in a creative way of thinking aimed at non-standard solutions and innovations, as well as to involve young people in active cooperation in shaping the social space and highlight current areas of development of Kryvyi Rih.

According to the program of Mayor Yurii Vilkul for modernization and replacement of outdoor lighting in Kryvyi Rih, more than 5,000 LED lamps were installed, and the streets without illumination since the beginning of construction received it. In 2020, 5 projects were implemented to overhaul the outdoor lighting networks of Gagarin, Metallurgiv, Myru and Petro Kalnyshevskyi avenues and Lermontov streets.
From Gorky Square (95th quarter) to Lermontov Street, 14 towers and 625 lamps have been installed. The service period of LED lamps is 4-6 times longer than traditional ones, they have a wider range of supply voltage, high light output, stable in negative temperatures, and save about 20% on electricity bills and do not contain hazardous substances that need to be disposed of.

On September 17, the staff of CE "Kryvyi Rih City Development Institution" together with teachers of the Mining College of Kryvyi Rih National University organized and conducted a training plen air in the format of OpenSpace "Marketing of territories: new ideas of young people for the city."
The main purpose of the event is to involve active youth of the city in the development of interesting leisure activities. The event was held within the framework of the New Generation program.

The city will host festive events dedicated to the foundation day of Kryvyi Rih this Saturday the city will host festive events dedicated to the Birthday of Kryvyi Rih. Three locations will be involved, including Shakhtarsky Park (44th quarter), Pivnichny Park (Ternivskyi district, Korolenko Street), Bohdan Khmelnytsky Park (Sotsmisto).
“Considering the fact that the holiday will be held in quarantine and understanding the desire of Kryvyi Rih residents to attend at least one of the cultural events, it was decided to continue the work of public transport until midnight for the convenience of citizens. So, the city trolleybus, tram, high-speed tram and buses will run this Saturday in full mode until 24 o'clock.

On September 15, Kryvyi Rih Mayor Yurii Vilkul and Yulia Holovatiuk-Unhurian, director of the State Energy Efficiency Fund, signed a memorandum of cooperation for implementation of energy-saving technologies for commonholds and housing and communal services cooperatives.
In Kryvyi Rih there are programs to support condominiums and housing and communal services, in particular, "Warm House", "Warm Credits", "My Commonhold House". In 2020 alone, the city budget provides UAH 45 million for the implementation of energy efficiency measures. Residents have the opportunity to make their homes more comfortable and cosy, with the help of the city, through repairs and insulation of indoor central heating networks, individual heating stations, replacement of windows and doors in public places, modernization of power supply systems with the replacement of switchboards and internal wiring, roof repairs with insulation, etc.
